Hi, my name is Ron Fairbanks. I managed to be the 1st nominee for the prestigious hammer award for the 2010 fishing season. The following is
the story behind my nomination: Knowing that the weather conditions for our tournament
on 12/5/09 were going to be a bit nippy I prepared well. I put on
several layers of clothing wanting to stay as warm as possible while
I attempted to catch as many bass as I could and hopefully get a
good limit or at least a limit.
I worked feverously all day to catch my 5 fish I felt fortunate
to have 5 when others had only 2 or 3 fish. In preparing for the
weigh in I took off several layers of clothing not wanting to loose
any points I wanted my shirt visible so I got credit for it at weigh
in. Having had my fish weighed in I was standing around talking
with club members when I felt someone ( "
Big Rich " ) pull something from the back of my shirt.
To my surprise I saw that he had pulled a layer of clothing off
that I didn’t know I had. There he stood holding a pair of light
purple panties and asking me "just who were you fishing with
"and where did these come from. Laughter erupted among all
the club members as my face turned a deeper purple than the panties. It is for the “ extra layer of clothing "I received my nomination. |
