Hello, my
name is Tony Boyett. I felt sorry for Ken for being
the only nominee for the 2009 Hammer Award so I decided to throw my hat in
the ring (nominations ) to give a little completion
and give the members another choice for the year. The circumstances surrounding
my nomination are as follows.
I arrived
at my usual time, close to the last to launch and lined my boat up for launching.
I got into my boat and Mack Cramer was backing me into the water. The boat
didn’t seem to want to leave the trailer and it was then I remembered In my haste to get in the water I had forgotten to unhook any
of my boat straps. I began hollering at Mack to “ wait”.
Mack pulled forward and with help from others I finally got all my boat straps
unhooked. Now I was able to get my boat launched without any further problems.
It was for this temporary lapse of remembering the importance of always unhooking
the straps unless of course you wish to launch the boat, trailer and truck.
