I don’t care what anyone says this is funny

Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all the Panhandlers. I hope Santa Clause brings you the rod and reel you want and for all of you tie wearers you know what’s under the tree.

Now for the tournament:  December had us at Fish River just west of Foley Alabama, thus allowing us to make use of those expensive Alabama license. When daylight started to crack the roar of the engines could be heard (except for Ron Fairbanks his motor is sick) and the bass started getting nervous, the Panhandlers were on the prowl. Well we may have been prowling but on a scale of 1 to 10 I give the tournament a 6. Even though fish were caught we only had 4 limits and several had 1 and 2 fish. I would like to welcome our 2 new members Bobby Sheffield and Dave Stewart. We may have to have a revote on Bobby he took 1st place in his first tournament with the panhandlers, Dave did just fine. Taking second was Lee Brannon with a nice limit and in 3rd was Big Rich.

From what I could hear most fish were caught on plastics as for me all of my fish were caught on Buzz Bait just kidding they came on a Zoom junebug U tail.

This months rule show case is how to get credit for fishing a tournament. Remember you have to 8 tournaments to be eligible for the fish off.

1.        In order to receive credit for fishing a club tournament, a member must be in good standing. Dues and tournament fees paid prior to starting the tournament. If the club member doesn’t actually fish the tournament it will not count as one of the fished tournaments towards the fish-off but the member will receive his tournament points in accordance with rule 11b. . To receive credit for FISHING a tournament a member must “Launch” his boat and be called out in the morning start. If the member chooses to leave at that point he has fished the tournament.

From the Fish Police have a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year

Now for the

 Highly Anticipated December Tournament

Fish River

As December Club Tournaments go this was really a pretty good tournament. The weather was in the mid thirty’s in the morning and clear, the water had cooled down and made the fishing a little slow, yet most all were able to adjust and catch enough fish to weigh in,  with 59 fish in all being caught by 15 of 18 members, and all released alive.  We had 18 of our 21 members fishing this tournament plus 2 guests.

Congratulations to our newest member Bobby Sheffield for showing all of us how it’s done and bringing in a big sack of fish for First Place. He said it’s all in the smile.

Lee Brannon likes this cool weather and it shows with his solid Second Place limit of fish. Lee also put his guest Mr. Frank Kelly on the big fish for the tournament. Nice fish Frank!

“Big” Rich Hardy grabbed Third Place by intimidating his limit of fish into the boat.

Good Fishing

&

Have a safe and

Merry Christmas to all
