Reason " Cliff rejoined the club "

I should have known not to make the statement that " nothing would happen to me this fishing season "to warrant a nomination for the " Hammer Award. " That " black cloud "that I thought was fading shown brightly this tournament. I was nominated as a result of failing to check to see that all of my gear was secure prior to driving back to the motel, a distance of approximately 3 miles. During this drive back my life jacket flew out of the boat taking my " kill switch "with it. There is a good twist to this tale though. I was able to retrieve the life jacket with the " kill switch " still attached. Some would say that the jacket was found around he 7.62 lb. bass I caught ( A new club record ). Actually a citizen found it and called the Seminole launch and left their phone number. I retrieved the life jacket and offered this citizen a reward, which they declined. This return of the life jacket does not undo this nomination, however. My only thought is misery does love company because I had 2 fellow members also get nominated.
