Tensaw River out of Cliff’s Saturday morning January 10,
2009 about 5:15 a.m. we arrived at Cliff’s Landing, at 5:20 a.m. it
started to rain but it did not dampen the spirits of the Panhandle
Bass Club with 18 members present we were ready to go. Charles Loyed lead us off with a morning prayer
on the water ( some of us need all the help we can get fishing) then
Mack once again assured us it won’t start raining until 2:00 p.m.
as he let us go. We had a south east wind, muddy
water and a falling tide to contend with as well as the on and off
rain showers. The ones that found clear water in the back of some
of the creeks or lakes were able to get on the fish and bring in some
decent limits. Bobby Sheffield, Mack Cramer, Rich Cornelius and John
Kasic all had there limits. We had a total of 16 members and 1 guest
weigh in fish. The Big Fish for this tournament went to Big Rich Hardy
weighing in at 2.73 lbs. nice fish, Rich weighs more than that! Once again Bobby Sheffield was
able to show all of us how its done for FIRST PLACE. Mack Cramer was pushing hard to dethrone Bobby but fell just
a little short for SECOND PLACE. Rich Cornelius was able to find enough fish to fill his sack
and slip into THIRD PLACE congratulations
and well done.
