2009 Changes to constitution and Tournament Rules

President Wayne Thomley called the meeting to order.

 The proposed changes to the constitution and tournament rules were voted on and all passed with a majority vote. You can view these changes via the link above and the link on the main index page.

 The treasurer's report was read and approved.

 Chris Maleno won the 50/50. Congratulations to Chris

 A reminder of our club banquet on November 1st at 7:00PM was announced.

 The banquet is at Angus.

 A preliminary count was taken and each member was reminded that ordering would be from them menu and each person/ couple would be responsible for their own check.

 President Wayne Thomley will be presiding over the final arrangements as well as the banquet and awards as his final official act as the outgoing president.

 New Business:

 There was no new business discussed.

October Tournament:

The Panhandle October Tournament and Club Fish-off was held at Wheeler Lake out of Joe Wheeler State Park, Townsend, Alabama . We had 19 out of 20 Members participate along with 5 guests, and everyone enjoyed a very good and competitive tournament

.

Wayne Thomley followed the advice of Dora and was able to put together two nice daily limits of fish along with the Big Booray fish to win the tournament, and collect the Booray pot. Good job Wayne!

In the Fisherman of the year race it was down to the wire time for big Tony and Richie make there moves on Mr. Consistency John Buck , but John was able to leave Richie speechless and Tony fading away for another year. Congratulations to John Buck for Fisherman of the Year.

Along with everyone catching fish, sharing information, and offering fishing tips to each other the accommodations were good and entertainment of watching twinkle toes Ron Fairbanks walk on water to retrieve his weigh in bag at the day 1 weigh-in was fun. We all had a very pleasant surprise at the day 2 weigh-in when BASS Elite Series Pro Gerald Swindel pulled his rig to the boat ramp for a photo shoot and took the time to sign autographs, take pictures with the club and visit with all of us.
