Minutes of the Meeting:
The May 2008 meeting
of the PANHANDLE BASS CLUB was brought to order at 6:30 p.m. on May 7th, 2008.
The meeting was held at Founaris Brothers and was
presided over by our President, Wayne Thomley. There were 18 members present .

Old Business:
First off our President, Wayne Thomley mentioned fishing line had come in he was promoting.
The 50/50
this month went to Frank Kelly.
New Business:
The club banquet location was brought up by Wayne
to choose between the
Angus
Steak House and
the Opry House in Chumuckla
for a vote, with the Opry House getting the nod
for either the 1st or 15th of November. Wayne also talked
about a plan for Club’s Travel Fund
in which each club member pays an additional $5 for each tournament fished
for a minimum of 8 tournaments to qualify for the receiving the travel monies/fish-off.
Wayne
informed the club that Cliff Armstrong will be going in-active for the remaining
of the year due to personal reasons, but in good standings. Wayne noted we will soon have a SOP for the
number of fish in the boat at weigh-in.

The May tournament was held at Cooter’s Pond Landing on the Alabama River near
Montgomery. We had 17 boats for the tournament. The weather was good. Everyone
caught fish with one exception. Sorry Walter!
Big
Fish winner of the tournament
Went
to John Buck with a good fish at 3.84 lb.
First
place went to Charles Loyed with 7 fish weighing 12.05. Steve Graham finished
second with 7 fish weighing 11.54, and Rich Hardy rounded out the top three
with 7 fish at 10.88 lbs. Great job guys.
