Minutes
of the Meeting:
The March, 2008 meeting
of the PANHANDLE BASS CLUB was brought to order at 6:30 p.m. on March 5th,
2008. The meeting was held at Founaris Brothers
and was presided over by our President, Wayne Thomley. There were 20 members
present .

Business: First off our President, Wayne Thomley talked about status of G-Loomis rod order. Wayne also
mentioned the White City Tournament of Champions, (8 anglers), should be the
3rd weekend in October. $50 entry fee/man and will be discussed
again next month. Thanks to Ken Repine our website is back up now and Ken
is making it happen!! Thanks Ken for all your hard work.
The
50/50 this month went to Fred Raby.
New
Business: No new Business!! But Rich
Hardy noted a potential new member named James Gilman.
Lastly with regard to the Club’s Fund Raising, we as members need to be thinking
of how we can contribute to the fund raising and boost our travel funds.

We managed to have 3 additional nominees throw their hat into the ring for the Hammer Award

March Tournament:
The March tournament was held at Ellis Landing on Miller’s
Ferry, we had 18 boats for the tournament. The weather was quite
cold on Saturday but warmed up Sunday and was a beautiful day. Most Everyone caught
fish.
Big
Fish winner of the tournament
Went
to Sarge with a beauty at 5.56 lbs. & a
good job John for 4.55 lbs. on Sunday.
First
place went to Tony Boyett with 9 fish weighing 11.50
lbs. John Buck finished second with 6 fish weighing 10.94
lbs., and Sarge rounded out the top three
with 4 fish at 10.77 lbs. Good job guys!!!!!!
Steve Meadows, our shaky secretary, would
like to express a sincere apology to the Club as a whole for the discrepancies
and time it took to wrap things up Sunday.
