New Business: Dan Thomas resigned from the club.
The e-board met prior to the Feb. club
meeting and elected to let the club decide by vote concerning the date of
our May tournament falling on Mother’s Day. It passed unanimously making our
March Tournament a two day on Miller’s Ferry and our May Tournament a one
day at Cooter’s Pond.
The Out Cast Bait & Tackle Store’s
Annual Spring Tent Sale will be the 28-29 of Feb. & the 1-2 of March.
Wayne Thomley
gave the club a chance to receive 2 G-Loomis rods at 50% off retail. Ron Fairbanks &
Tony Boyett were the lucky winners of the raffle
for the rods.
Discussion of the White City Tournament
of Champions, (8 anglers), scheduled for the last Sat. in Oct. 2008 was batted
around for input by club members and will be discussed further at future meetings.
Lastly with regard to the Club’s Fund Raising, Mack Cramer brought to the table
along with Tony Boyett because of their ties with
Eddie Rhodes, who runs the Northwest
Florida Bass Tournaments, the possibility of handling the 8 Tournaments they
put on at a cost of $350.00 per Tournament. This will be a great opportunity
for the Club if we can negotiate this, but this would require each member
of the club to participate in at least 2 of the 8 Tournaments.

A special thanks to our visiting guest
displaying their wares and sharing information. Paul Schaefer and his wife
run Southern Quality Custom Rods & Repair. Paul brought some
of his work to show and discussed his business. So if in the need give Paul
a call.
Also Dyane Mills of Team Trails
came by and gave us information about the bass tournaments he puts on along
with some of the products he carries, like co-polymer & fluorocarbon
fishing lines with a savings he said he would pass on to the club. Again
Thanks Guys and come by anytime.
