of the Meeting:
The April , 2008
meeting of the PANHANDLE BASS CLUB was brought to order at 6:30 p.m. on April
2nd , 2008. The meeting was held at Founaris Brothers
and was presided over by our President, Wayne Thomley. There were 18 members
present .

Business: First off our President,
Wayne Thomley talked about status of G-Loomis rod order & 50%
clothing. Cudo’s to Tony Boyett
for his $255.00 contribution to the Club’s Travel Fund & also to Wayne for
his hard work selling that tackle.
The 50/50 this month went to John Buck.
New
Business: The
club banquet location was brought up by Steve M. and offered the Opry House in Chumuckla for a possible
choice. Rich Hardy said he had not heard from potential new member James Gilman.
With regard to the Club’s Fund Raising, it was brought up by Fred
Raby to sell raffle tickets for a chance to win a
$1000.00 and a nights stay in Biloxi Casino. Wayne stated from now on we will
have a plan of action for members who break down on the water and need to get
assistance to get back to the ramp. Guys we basically failed as a Club to help
get Ron back last month. It will be the Tournament Directors responsibility
for the plan of action here forward.

April Tournament:
The
April tournament was held at State Landing on Lake Jordan,
we had 15 boats for the tournament. The weather was not cold but a little wet
on Sat. but nice on Sunday and was a beautiful day. Everyone caught fish.
Big Fish winner of the tournament
Went to John Kasic, Saturday, with a nice one at 5.06 lb.& good job Tony for 3.74 lb. on Sunday.
First place went to Ron Fairbanks with 13 fish weighing 26.11.
Lee Brannon finished second with 14 fish weighing 25.28,
and Mack rounded out the top three with 14 fish at 24.15 lbs. Good job guys.
Sorry John that dead fish cost you third place!!!
