October Tournament:

Guntersville  was  this years site for our Fish-Off. The Lodging was at the state park. Everyone really enjoyed the chalea’s and the park itself.

Guntersville is a great fishery even though we were a bit early this time around, catching those 15” keepers was somewhat of a task, anything under that was fairly easy. Dan Thomas had big fish on day two and took the boo-ray with a nice largemouth weighing in at 6.09 lbs, edging out a 5.89 on day one caught by Rich Cornelius, and yes, it happened again to Richie. Congratulations Dan.

Mitch Gardner had the biggest stringer for the tournament, he had 6 fish on day two that tipped the scales at 16.85 lbs, which vaulted him to second place for the tournament. Rich Cornelius finished first with a total of 22.05 lbs, Mitch took second with a total of 19.53 lbs and Steve Graham took third with a total of 19.22 lbs.

Baits of choice were Senko’s, crank baits, some top water’s and trick worms. Green pumpkin and Watermelon seed colors worked best.

Two to six feet of water seemed to be

the depth of choice.
