Old Business:  The 50/50 this month was won by Walter McCartney.

st1:City w:st="on">Wayne had some “Mercury Outboard” hats donated by Mercury, they all went quick in the auction along with some other miscellaneous items.

Thanks to all those who bid on the items.

The G-Loomis rod situation has been resolved, that’s a good thing.

Billy Blackwell once again had the club skunk presented to him by Cliff Armstrong. Who will be next?

New Business:  We are sad to say the club is back to 24 members, John Lightsey has decided to drop out for a while, it is noted that he is leaving in good standings with the club, I’m sure one day we will see him return.

With that being said, we now have one slot open for our club, remember, there is a 25 member cap in our club.

There was no other new business discussed.

June Tournament:

The June tournament was on the Alabama River held out of Cooters Pond Landing. The river was very low with a light stain to it. The weather was nice for a change even though it did heat up quick, which produced a few afternoon showers up river.

Most of the guys pre-fished on Friday and found some fish, everyone basically said the same thing, tight to cover. It turned out the winning stringer came off crank baits on small points. Pitching and texas rigged plastics was mostly used.

The BOORAY FALLS, Rich Cornelius caught a very nice largemouth  that weighed in at 5.16 lbs. It was caught during a thunder shower on a buzz bait.

Rich also took second place with 4 fish weighing 10.20 lbs.

Mitch Gardner finished 3rd with 6 fish for 9.21 lbs.

Wayne Thomley had a good limit that topped the scales at 13.08 lbs
