Old Business:      The club banquet for the 2006 season was held at Mosquite Charlie’s on Dec 16th, under the circumstances the club made the best of it, chances are we will not return to Mosquite Charlie’s anytime in the near future, due to management error.

The Panhandle Bass Club would like to welcome aboard it’s newest member, Steve Meadows.

Steve is sponsored by Billy Blackwell.

Steve has a friend who is also interested in joining the club, his name is Charles Loyed.

The Panhandle Bass Club currently has 24 members with just one slot open. To all members, remember that the club has a 25-member cap, anyone having a potential member after the cap will be placed on a waiting list, contact your club secretary at that time.

New Business:       The 50/50 draw this month went to Cliff       ( Hey ya’ll, that water was cold ) Armstrong, maybe his luck is changing for the better.

Billy Blackwell will start the “Raffle Ticket” sales at the next meeting, it would be nice if each member could sell at least one or two books, or buy them yourself if you can’t sell them. This money comes back to the club members who qualify for the Fish-off at the October tournament.

The more we can bring in, the more each member will benefit from it if they qualify for the Fish-off.

“A reminder to all members”, lets all help each other out during the launching and recovery of boats at our tournaments, it makes things much easier for everyone.

The club did a great job at this months tournament.

January Tournament:

This months tournament was held on the Tensaw out of Cliff’s Landing, The river was on the rise and stained to muddy in most areas, clear water could be found in the back’s of the creeks to the south of the landing.

Most of the fish caught came from finesse worms and a few on crank baits, weeding through the short fish was the problem for some. Only one limit was caught and three came close. Congratulations to Mitch Gardner, Mitch finished first with 6 fish weighing 9.10 lbs, Mack Cramer took second with 7 fish weighing 7.53 lbs and we had a tie for third, both John Kasic and Wayne Thomley had 7.06 lbs. Big Fish went to Chris Malena, at 2.96 lbs.

Good job guys.

Next month we will be at Fish River.
