Old Business: The 50/50 draw was won by John Kasic this month.

The “Raffle tickets” for the clubs first raffle of this season were handed out at the meeting, if anyone needs more contact Billy Blackwell. The tickets go for $1.00 each, the drawing will be held at the April meeting, so make a note on your calendar.

Our next tournament is at Lake Seminole, if anyone has questions about room reservations contact Mack Cramer as soon as possible.

New Business.     It seems that our club shirts are getting hard to come by, a motion was passed to incorporate another shirt for our club, the motion was passed. The shirt is a Magellan (breathable),

It can be bought in long sleeve or short sleeve and is white in color.

Both shirts, the khaki and the Magellan are acceptable for club tournaments. Contact Fred Raby if you have any questions. The total price for the shirt/name and logo will be approximately 35 to 40 dollars.

We will be traveling next month to Lake Seminole, so take the time and check your equipment out, tires, batteries, things that need greased, etc.

It could save you a lot of trouble.

FEBRUARY TOURNAMENT:     This month’s tournament was on Fish River, we had 19 members present

and ready to go at safe daylight.

Once again, mother nature made her presence felt, a bone chilling north wind with temps in the low 40’s. The bite was expected to be fairly tough, and it was. Only two limits were caught. Most bites came off of finesse rigs and small jigs, and if you fished the lower end, it seemed the red fish were on a tear.

Big fish for the tournament was

3.16 lbs, caught by Mack Cramer, he also took first place with 7 fish weighing in at 12.84 lbs. Good job Mack. Second place went to Rich Cornelius, also with 7 fish weighing in at 6.79 lbs, dreadful but good enough for 2nd. Steve Graham took third with 6 fish for 6.60 lbs.

John Kasic, the winner of the 50/50 draw, also won the Golf Ball draw. I guess that’s one way to win some money in a tournament.

Fred Raby finally passed on the “Skunk” to John Lightsey, I know John will be trying to get rid of that as soon as possible.

Thanks to all members for helping each other out during the launch and recovery of boats,

Things go so much easier when everybody pitches in to help.
