Old Business: The club banquet is this coming weekend,

Saturday the 16th at st1:City w:st="on">Mesquite Charlie’s. It will start at 7 p.m. and it will be an “order from the menu dinner”. It is always a lot of fun so try to be there if at all possible.

This month’s 50/50 draw went to John Lightsey, lucky dog.

The Panhandle will have the 2007 season fish-off at Lake Guntersville; lodging will be at the state park chalets. Make your plans for it now so problems won’t occur later.

New Business:  The Panhandle Bass Club would like to welcome their newest member, Dan Thomas. Dan was sponsored by Mitch Gardner. We hope you enjoy the club Dan. Tight lines to ya.

***Hammer Award Nominee’s***

Once again, Cliff Armstrong gets the nomination, sorry Cliff but we had to do it. Cliff had a few problems to start off the tournament morning, most likely this occurred because it was 19 degree’s that morning. His gear shift was froze, the trolling motor wouldn’t work but the kicker was when Cliff was attempting to paddle his boat back to the trailer, he decided to take a swim, we will just leave it at that, this will be talked about for some time to come, I’m sure.

December Tournament:

This month’s tournament was held at Miller’s Ferry out of Ellis landing. This was by far the coldest weekend we have fished in a long time. The temp was 19 degree’s and everyone’s boat looked like it was covered with ice.

It caused several problems for many of us, steering cables froze, trolling motors wouldn’t work, you get the picture. But it didn’t stop us. Well, maybe just one.
