May Tournament:

This months tournament was held on Millers Ferry, out of Ellis landing. 17 members were ready to go at safe daylight, actually, it was dark, but you have heard the classic John Wayne line, "were burnin daylight", so our acting tournament director let us go a tad early.
It was a little foggy in places but not bad overall.
The bite was tuff, as usual, they didn't pull the water on Saturday so it was to be expected.
At the weigh-in, only 2 out of the field of 17 had a limit, Rich and Walter, as it turned out, they were the only two to have locked thru to Claiborne.
They also finished 1 and 2 in the tournament. Mack Cramer made a run north and finished 3rd while Wayne Thomley stayed near by and finished 4th. Mack and Wayne each had 4 fish apiece. Big Fish went to Rich Cornelius, a nice largemouth that weighed 4.22 lbs.
The newest edition to the hammer award is none other than Donnie Wigen, who involuntarily decided to go for a swim the first thing in the morning, beware of those slippery docks early in the morning Donnie, they will get you every time, luckily, Donnie being prepared for most anything, had a dry set of cloths in his truck. Then, Chris Malena tried to imitate the fall except on dry land, only the trailer tongue and jack mount broke his fall and his skin, needless to say, Chris was hurting after that. Both turned out to be fine, just their pride was hurt.
