MINUTES OF THE MEETING


The June 2006 meeting of the Panhandle Bass Club was brought to order at 6:30 p.m. on June 7th, 2006.
The meeting was held at Founaris Brothers on Hwy 29 and was presided over by President Fred Raby.

OLD BUSINESS:


This month's 50/50 draw went to Fred Raby. The June "raffle" drawing winning ticket was sold by Mitch Gardner, thanks to all who participated in the selling of tickets, it's all worth it come October. Numerous bags of soft plastics were also awarded from the 50/50 tickets, every little bit helps. Thanks to Wayne Thomley for his time and effort.


NEW BUSINESS:


Not a lot of new topics to discuss this time, but just remember to do some preventive maintenance on your equipment, rods, reels, etc.
Every now and then, check your wheel bearings, batteries, props and so on. It could save you some heartache in the future.
As of now, 14 members have qualified for the Fish-Off, any questions contact Rich or Mack for more info.

June Tournament:

The June tournament was held on the Choctawhatchee River out of Black Creek Lodge. It was originally scheduled for Simpler's Landing but do to management and limited parking it was changed. The river was as low as I have seen it, but those who went and checked things out early said the bite was good . It turned out that the morning bite was good then it slowed way down after that, six limits were caught altogether.
John Kasic took big fish and 1st place honors, Mack was 2nd and Rich finished 3rd. The Boo-ray lives another day.
