MINUTES OF THE MEETING


The July 2006 meeting of the Panhandle Bass Club was brought to order at 6:30 p.m. on July 5, 2006.
The meeting was held at the Founaris Brothers on Hwy 29 and was presided over by President Fred Raby.

OLD BUSINESS:


The 50/50 draw went to Frank (sarge) Bost this month. There was nothing to be auctioned off this month, maybe next time.
John Buck donated the profits of a Falcon rod to the club, thanks a lot John, the club appreciates it. As a reminder, while on the water
be aware of your surroundings while running your boat, keep enough distance from other boats while going around them, this is to prevent people from taking a shower with their cloths on, although it probably feels refreshing as hot as it has been.
Just be safe out there.
If you have not yet paid for the first night stay at the Appalachicola tournament, contact Mack Cramer as soon as possible.

***Fish-Off News***
The following members will need to fish the remaining tournaments listed in order to qualify for the Fish-Off in October:
Ken Repine - needs August & Sept.
Tony Boyett - needs August or Sept.
Rich Hardy - needs August or Sept.
Donnie Wigen - needs August or Sept
**October 2006 can't be counted as one of the 8 tournaments required to qualify.**

Doug Webb will not qualify for the Fish-Off but is eligible to fish the October tournament. If anyone has any questions, contact Rich Cornelius.

July Tournament:

Every member in the club fished this month's tournament, that's what we all like to see. The mighty Escambia River was the site of this months tournament, it was low and clear for the most part. The bit was tough but several limits were caught, soft plastics worked the best along with a few top water lures. Big Fish for the tournament weighed 4.12 lbs caught by Rich Renner, Tony Boyett finished first with 5 fish weighing 7.97 lbs, good job Tony.
