MINUTES OF THE MEETING


The April 2006 meeting of the Panhandle Bass Club was brought to order at 6:30 p.m. on April 5th, 2006. The meeting was held at the Founaris Brothers on Hwy 29 and was presided over by President Fred Raby.
There were 19 members present and two guests.

OLD BUSINESS:


"Raffle tickets" have been given out and recorded, the drawing will be at the June meeting. Tickets are $1.00 each.
Try to sell as many as you can, it all comes back to those who qualify for the classic in October.
For more tickets, contact Billy Blackwell.
This month's 50/50 raffle went to Mitch Gardner, and on the auction side,( a real time sonar unit) was acquired by Mack Cramer.

NEW BUSINESS:

Our meeting place is now requiring the club to spend approximately $150.00 on food and beverages, that equates to about $8.00 per member,
so if it is at all possible, let's try and do that so we can keep our meeting place where it is, unless someone has another place in mind,
and if you do, contact Fred Raby with all the info.
No other new business was discussed.
"Hammer Nominee's"
"Big Man" Rich Hardy is now on the list, Rich was DQ'ed on day two of the tournament for forgetting that the weigh-in was at 1p.m.
He thought it was at 2p.m.

April Tournament:

Lake Martin was the site of this months tournament, all but 3 members turned out for the tournament. Saturday morning presented us with lightning and pouring rain just prior to launch time, it held us up a little bit, but better safe than sorry. The bite was on for some, mostly on Carolina rigs on points and shoals, top water bites were slim to none for most. The lake level was still below full pool and the water temp was in the mid 60's.
I think we were just about 2 weeks early for a really good top water weekend. As usual, everyone caught fish and had a good time.
