OLD BUSINESS:

We opened the meeting up with nominations from the floor for new E-board officers, there were no nominations, so the present E-board was voted in by acclamation. The E-Board for the 2005/2006 seasons is as follows:
President - Fred Raby
Treasurer - Mack Cramer
Tournament Dir. - W. McCartney
Secretary - Rich Cornelius
Asst Tourn Dir - Wayne Thomley
Congratulations to the 2005 E- Board for a job well done.
All the "proposed rule changes" were read, clarified and voted on.
The "revised 2004/2005 club rules" have been passed on to Jim Bailey sr. to be posted on our web site. Copies will be passed out at the next meeting to all the members present.
A phone roster will be passed around at the next meeting to update any changes that might have been made.
The clubs special fund helped out those eligible for the Fish-off a great deal, our goal is to do even better next time around. It does benefit those who fish enough tournaments to qualify for the Fish-off.
The E-Board will meet prior to the November meeting to come up with a 2005/2006 tournament schedule,
which will be presented at the November 2nd club meeting.
We will try our best to come up with a schedule that everyone will enjoy.

NEW BUSINESS:

The 50/50 went to Rich Cornelius.
Anyone who would like to propose a "Fish-off" site for the 2006 season may do so, it must be in writing with all the pertinent information, lodging, travel times, ramp access, fish size limits by local or state law, etc.
All nominated sites should be in at the November meeting, no later than the December meeting.
The "Fish-off" site will be voted on at the December meeting by a simple majority vote.
Sites must be within a 10 hour drive of Pensacola.

October Tournament:

We had 16 members and 7 guests eager to get their line's stretched at Lake Guntersville, and a few did just that. We had some good reports while pre-fishing on Wednesday and Thursday, some big fish were being caught and quantities, then as usual, at least it always seems this way, a cold front blows in and really slowed the bite down.
For the next two days we had very windy conditions and overcast, which pretty much shut the grass mat bite down. Buzz Baits proved to be the bait of choice for some, the bite was slow but produced quality fish. 2 members had limits on day one, and one guest, Dave Rogers. No limits were caught on day 2. Big Fish on day one went to Dave Rogers with a very nice 6.35 largemouth. John Lightsey took day two big fish weighing in at 5 lbs even.
For the tournament, Wayne Cox finished first with 9 fish weighing 23.33 lbs. Rich Cornelius was second with 7 fish for 19.26 lbs and Walter McCartney finished third with 6 fish weighing in at 14.69 lbs.
Good job.
Maybe we can all visit Guntersville again in the future.
