MINUTES OF THE MEETING
The May 2005 meeting of the Panhandle Bass Club was brought to order at 6:30 p.m. on May 4th, 2005.
The meeting was held at the Founaris Brothers on Hwy 29 and was presided over by President Fred Raby.

OLD BUSINESS:
The first raffle drawing of the year was won by Mark Melton, Dora Thomley sold the winning ticket.
Thanks for participating in the club functions Dora, the club appreciates it.
**All unsold raffle tickets need to be turned in at the next meeting**
The 50/50 drawing was won by Billy Blackwell.
The complimentary room was won by Rich Cornelius.
NEW BUSINESS:
Just as a reminder, we all need to try and do our part when it comes to club fund raisers, after all, it all comes back to you if your qualified for the October fish-off.
We will probably try and have at least one more fund raiser before October.
There was no other new business discussed.
May Tournament:
Miller's Ferry was the site of this month's tournament out of Ellis landing. The river was stained and most creeks were about the same, although a few were only slightly stained. There was no real pattern to catching the fish, they were on the wood and in the grass and they would hit just about anything, I think bait presentation played the biggest part. Everyone caught fish and had a lot of fun, that's what its all about. There were seven 7 fish limits caught and the big fish of the tournament went to Billy Blackwell , it weighed in at 3.61 lbs.
Third place went to Chris Malena with a limit of fish that weighed 11.14 lbs, Second went to Rich Cornelius, 7 fish for 11.28 lbs and first place went to Wayne Cox with a limit weighing in at 11.69 lbs.
