MINUTES OF THE MEETING


The June 2005 meeting of the Panhandle Bass Club was brought to order at 6:30 p.m. on June 1st, 2005.
The meeting was held at Founaris Brothers on Hwy 29 and was presided over by President Fred Raby.

OLD BUSINESS:


The October meeting (may) be changed to Tuesday, depending on the availability of lodging.
Mack will research our options and let us know at the next meeting. If you know you will be attending the October tournament/ Fish-off, start planning for it now. There were no items auctioned off at this month's meeting.
Congratulations to Wayne Cox for winning this month's 50/50 draw.

NEW BUSINESS:


Another "Raffle" has been started, the drawing will be held at the September meeting. Tickets are $1 each, redeemable for $100.00 cash or $100.00 worth of gasoline to the winner. See Billy Blackwell for tickets.
The "hot" weather is here so we need to do all we can to keep those fish alive, live-well aeration
granules or tablets will help out a lot, the next time your in a tackle store, try and remember to pick some up.
No other new business was discussed.

June Tournament:

The June tournament was held at the Tensaw River out of Cliff's Landing. It was originally scheduled for Hubbard's but do to rising water it was changed. There were 18 members and 6 guests present to fish at safe day light. The tide was incoming and we had foggy conditions in the morning changing to mostly sunny the rest of the day. The water was stained to muddy in most places. Some of the guys went to the grass for some clear water and hope's for a good top water bite, but that was not the case. The bite was tough to get and it didn't matter what type of lure was used. Come weigh-in time, it was evident how tough it was, no limits were caught and only 14 of 18 members caught fish for a total of 25 fish weighed in.
Rich Cornelius had big fish of the day, it weighed 2.65 lbs and was caught on a buzz bait around noon.
