OLD BUSINESS:

The 50/50 draw was won by Mack Cramer this month.
The club would like to thank Sunrize Tackle, inc., for their donations, we hope to put them to good use.
Also, thanks to Wayne Thomley for his time and effort in making different products available to the club.
Mack was able to get a complimentary room at the Days Inn, it was awarded to Frank Kelly and Dave Dyess, thanks for your time and effort also Mack.
So far this year we have two individuals nominated for the Hammer Award, Frank Kelly and Chris Malena, there is still a long way to go until October, so we all will be on the lookout for new nominees.
A Hydraulic Floor Jack was up for grabs in this months auction, Mack Cramer is the proud new owner. If anyone has anything they would like to auction off, be sure and bring it to one of the meetings, every little bit helps.

NEW BUSINESS:

Fred Raby talked to the club about possibly having a Lowrance Electronics/GPS seminar set up at one of our meetings, or a time and place to be announced, this would be an excellent way to learn all there is to know about our electronics and how to properly use and read them. The majority of the club agreed, Fred will try to have more info about this at next months meeting.
Mack Cramer talked about preventable maintenance in general, cold weather and its affects on batteries, checking props and wheel bearings for monofilament line, etc.
So take the time to look things over, it could save you a lot of time and money in the long run.
Billy Blackwell has started a raffle drawing to be held in May, tickets are $1.00 each, the prize is $200.00 dollars worth of gasoline or cash value. Contact Billy if you need more tickets.
We would all like to thank Mack for putting on his annual Super Bowl party at his residents, the food was great and so were the festivities. Looking forward to doing it again next year. Thanks again Mack.

January Tournament:

This month's tournament was held on Miller's Ferry out of Ellis landing. The water was high and the river was muddy, clear water was easily found though. The morning air was frigid with dense fog, and the average water temp was 48 to 49 degrees, it made for a tough bite to say the least. Personally, it was one of the toughest tournaments I have ever fished at Miller's Ferry, but at least we were fishing. Big Fish for the tournament went to Mack Cramer and he also took the first place spot with a weight of 6.41 lbs. Great job Mack. Dave Dyess took second with 2 fish weighing 3.62 lbs and Rich Cornelius finished third with 3 squeakers weighing 2.93 lbs.
Finesse worms worked, but just barely. Next month has got to be better, it can't get any tougher than what that was.
