NEW BUSINESS:
The July tournament originally scheduled for July 9th was cancelled do to Hurricane Dennis, the E-Board held a meeting shortly after and re-scheduled the July tournament for August 13th at the originally scheduled site, Choctawhatchee river. The decision on the re-schedule date also went before the members present at the August meeting.
August Tournament:
Basically, about all I can say is the river was flooded, those who went up river had to search for whatever river bank that was available, and those who went south took their chances with the clear water. One thing for sure, it was tough for everyone and it showed at the weigh-in.
Only 9 fish were caught, one of which was caught by Dora Thomley, a regular guest at our tournaments, good job Dora. Wayne Thomley had 4 fish for 5.77 lbs for the winning stringer.
He also had big fish for the tournament, it weighed 1.89 lbs.
Rich Cornelius took second with 2 fish for 2.80 lbs, Mack Cramer finished 3rd with one fish that weighed .88,
( no, this is not a type-o).
Rich Renner placed fourth, just out of the money with one fish that weighed .82, ( this is not a type-o either).
Crank Baits, buzz baits and soft plastics were the baits of choice.
