OLD BUSINESS:

The 50/50 draw was won by Frank Kelly, not Fred Raby again, his luck had to run out sometime.
The complimentary room at the Guest House Inn was won by Dave Rogers.
Remember, the October tournament/fish-off is on a Friday and Saturday, the 8th and 9th. All members are eligible to fish the tournament, only those who have qualified will be eligible for the fish-off money.
Most will go up on Thursday morning, so make plans for it now if that's what you want to do.
Our guests at the September meeting were Bobby Sheffield, sponsored by Tony Boyett, and Ron Greathouse, sponsored by Wayne Cox.

NEW BUSINESS:

New business consisted of E-board nominations, rule changes, the removal of and additions to our Constitution and By-laws, tournament rules and Fish-off rules. See the attached page of the newsletter for everything that was covered. Only clarifications will be given at the October meeting, no discussions.
No other new business was discussed.

July Tournament:

The September tournament was held on Lay Lake out of the Lower Dam Landing. There were 15 members present to fish at safe daylight and one guest. This was the first time that most of us had ever been to Lay Lake, some had fished it many times before, so hear say was the info to go by for most.
As it turned out, most of the guys familiar with the lake didn't fair as well as the newbee's.
Fish were caught on crank baits, flippin the grass, top water, shaky heads and Carolina rigging.
A couple of the guys even took the time to play with the stripers schooling on shad.
The weather cooperated for once, a little windy at times but for the most part you couldn't ask for better conditions. The lake level was being drawn down each day causing the fish to move out but overall, it was still a lot of fun.
I for one was impressed with the fishery as were others.
Hopefully, the club will return to Lay Lake in the near future.
Mack Cramer took the top spot in the two day tournament with 12 fish weighing in at 18.46 lbs, Wayne Thomley took second with 12 fish weighing 17.19 lbs and Chris Malena finished third with 15.67.
Big fish for day one was 3.65 lbs, caught by Billy Blackwell, day two big fish weighed in at 4.60 lbs,
caught by Dave Rogers. Good job guys.
