OLD BUSINESS:
The club would like to thank Mack Cramer and his wife Sandra for allowing the Club Banquet to be held at their home, the banquet went very well and everyone there had an enjoyable evening.
The 50/50 pot this month went to Tony Boyett, gee's he is lucky.
Troy Beedle talked briefly about a potential member to the club, his name is John Lightsey, who works with Troy and Josh. He was at the weigh-in with his little boy, several of us talked with him, maybe we will see him at the next meeting. As we all know by now we recently lost a very close friend and fishing companion, Wally Cassiano.
At the meeting, Mack Cramer requested that the E-Board hold an emergency meeting and made the motion that Wally Cassiano be named a Lifetime Member of the Panhandle Bass Club. The E-Board will meet and propose ideas on how to implement this prior to the Febuary meeting.
NEW BUSINESS:
The January tournament site was changed due to low water from Hurricane to Cliff's.
Mack Cramer has invited all members of the club to attend his annual Super Bowl party on Sunday, Febuary 1st. All the food is provided, just bring your on drinks. There will be card games, horseshoes, etc. The food is excellent and as always, it's a great time. Hope to see everyone there.
January Tournament:
As usual, a tournament was scheduled and the weather went to you know what, 15 to 20 mph North winds and temps that never went above 40, or so it seemed. But, that never stopped the avid fisherman of the club, some of the guys fished the grass, some fished the wood and some fished both, the bite was tough for most everyone as it turned out. There were 4 limits caught and most had 3 or less. Larry Foshee finished first with a limit that weighed 11.29 lbs. Chris Malena and Wayne Cox rounded out the top 3, both also had a limit. Walter McCartney had big fish for the day which weighed in at 3.80 lbs. Great job guys.
Crank baits and finesse plastics worked best along with jigs.
The weather can only get better, at least till the next tournament.
