OLD BUSINESS:

Reminder , to all members of the Panhandle Bass Club, from this point forward, all tournament entryfee's must be paid at the meeting. If you know that you won't be able to attend the meeting, but wish to fish the tournament, contact a club board member or another club member and more than likely your due's will be paid for you,
then you can repay the money at the tournament site to whoever paid for you at the meeting, it's that simple.
This will eliminate any confusion at the tournament site.
Most everyone has the phone roster for the club, if you don't,
there will be copies to be handed out at the next meeting.
The club fish-off will be held at Pickwick lake, October 3rd and 4th. You will need to make reservations from the 2nd thru the 4th, that will be for Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday night.
We will drive back on Sunday. Some reservations have already been made at the WEBSTERS INN,
phone # is ( 1- 877-474-6257 ). Please tell them you are with the Panhandle Bass Club from Pensacola Florida.
Be sure and make your reservations as soon as possible, if something comes up down the road.
You can always call and cancel.

NEW BUSINESS:

There were a few items auctioned off at the meeting, a life jacket went to Walter McCartney, Frank Bost acquired a rod holder stand and Don Jahnke was willing to test a new trailer alignment kit. Lets keep it going,
anyone that has an item they would like to have auctioned off, don't forget to bring it to the meeting.
Headache Prevention- every now and then when you have some spare time, take some tools out to your boat and check things over, like: making sure nuts, bolts and screws are tight, check wire connections for chaffing and tightness, check all fluid hoses for cracks and good clamp connections, trolling motor componets for security and good condition, so on and so on.
You'll be surprised at what you might find just by doing a quick little inspection every now and then.

January Tournament:

16 boats was set to take off at safe daylight, this morning was like the three previous tournaments, cold as ....
The weather forecast predicted overcast skies for the day, as usually, they were wrong, an hour an a half went by and all of a sudden it was a blue bird day. The wind was from the north, the tide was incoming and boats were everywhere. Two other major tournaments were being held at two other landings on the Tensaw.
The bite was slow for most, but a few of the guys were able to round up a limit, congratulations to Lee, Steve and Mack for a job well done. Fred was able to get a big fish to bite a jig, and a nice fish it was, weighing in at 4.48 lbs. Most fish were caught on junebug finesse worms and crankbaits. Again, great job guys.
