Assistant Tournament director/ Sgt @ Arms, duty's of this position will include assisting the tournament director at weigh-in's, acting as weigh master in the absence of, and keeping order at the meetings and at the tournaments. Anyone who would like to try this position should let it be known by the October meeting.
CB Radio's were brought up to the members, if you do not currently have a CB in your vehicle, try and get one as soon as possible, they really come in handy, not only for needing help but also for some good laughs going to and from tournament sites.

Rule Change Proposals:

Any member wanting to submit a rule change proposal should type it up and forward it to the secretary, it should include the present rule in place and also include the rule change proposed.
This applies to the Constitution, tournament and Fish-off rules.
Please include Article #'s, Section #'s and paragraphs, etc.
All proposals will be discussed at the September meeting.
Voting on the proposals will be held at the October meeting with no discussion period.

Congratulations to Steve Graham for being selected for Chief Petty Officer. Good luck in your initiation Steve.

August Tournament:

The morning weather was warm and muggy with some fog rolling in just before day light, during the lengthy idol out towards the main river, the Yamaha's and the Mercury's took care of the mosquito problem along with the fresh air, the lack of. Once we were all out to the main river, we all got some fresh air and the fog wasn't so bad.
You might know the one day we were hoping for some cloud cover there was none, blue bird skies all day and no rain in sight. It was definitely a change all except for the rising waters once again. Like last month, getting a keeper bass to make a mistake was tough, but if you could hit them on the head, chances were good.
At the weigh-in, no limits were brought in, Larry Foshee had the best catch of the day with 6 keepers and also had big fish for the day which weighed in at 2.98 lbs. Good job Larry.
Wayne Thomley came in second with 4 fish and Rich Cornelius took 3rd with 3 fish.
Jigs and plastics worked the best for most. This was the last tournament with a 2 p.m. weigh-in.
Starting next month, it will be a 4 p.m. Weigh-in.
