Volume 1 Issue 3

MINUTES OF THE MEETING

The July 2002 meeting of the Panhandle Bass Club was brought to order at 6:30 p.m. on July 3rd at Cramer's Shop.
It was presided over by President Fred Raby, there were nine members present.

President, Fred Raby Secretary/Treasurer, Rich Cornelius Tournament Director, Don Jahnke

OLD BUSINESS:

The Panhandle Bass Club Constitution, Tournament Rules and Fish-off rules have been gone over in detail by the
E-board and the present members since the June meeting, they are now ready for a final draft.

NEW BUSINESS:

Two new members, Cliff Armstrong and Dave Dyess, were voted in. Congratulations on becoming members of
the Newly established Panhandle Bass Club.
Examples of club logo's for the future Panhandle Bass Club website were passed around and discussed, everyone
was in agreement that a club logo would be voted on at the August meeting. Club shirts were also brought up for
the Panhandler's, Mack Cramer suggested white shirts, button up w/ collar.
Please have some ideas ready to voted on concerning hat/shirt and club logo's. Also, please remember to try to
have cash for tournament entry fee's, since the club has yet to have an account established, it's much easier on
the club treasurer. If you have a guest fishing with you, please remember to either pay the $5.00 for them or have
them put it in an envelope with their name on it if their in the big fish pot, and give it to the treasurer at the meeting.

July Tournament:

The July Tournament was held out of Isacc's Creek Landing on the lower end of Claiborne Lake. A few of the guys
decided to go up Friday before the tournament to pre-fish. Rich Cornelius was one of those who decided to take a
look around on Friday, unfortunately, Rich blew his motor around noon time on his way back to the landing. Between using the trolling motor and waiting on some help, he finally made it back to the hotel around 5p.m. that
evening, thanks to the U.S. ARMY CORPS of ENGINEERS.
Thanks to Mack, Rich was able to fish the tournament anyway out of the back of Mack's boat.
Nine Panhandler's were present for the blast-off Saturday morning, the fog was not as bad as the day before, the
river looked good and everyone had high expectations. At the weigh-in, everyone could tell that the heat was
unbearable and it also took it's toll on the fish, the bite was there, but slow. In the end, it was Rich Cornelius edging out the field with 5 fish and a total of 8.31lbs to take first place. Wally Cassiano had the big fish for the
day weighing in at 4.03 lbs. Congratulations to Wally and Rich on a good day of fishing.
